~ From Doucette New York to Swing Cold Spring ~
#buildyourwardrobe
since 2005, doucette, by designer Stephanie Doucette, has let her respect-for-mamma-earth- beliefs inspire her craft and guide her brand. swapping a nyc-based wholesale business for a cold spring, ny brick-and-mortar concept store, this dress-maker, stylist, mom and wife, is committed to building beautiful wardrobes and fighting "fast-fashion" one sustainable garment at a time.
BE MINDFUL
doucette rescues forgotten fabrics and deadstock. some are from the archives of storied fashion houses; others are just beautiful, interesting, or drape so gracefully that they cannot be overlooked. there is no glamour in this pursuit to "rescue"; it's sheer commitment to reducing her footprint in the wasteful industry of fashion.
the rescued goods dictate the silhouettes each season, which are sewn in the garment district and then available exclusively at swing.
due to the nature of the goods, all garments are incredibly limited and often just one-of-a-kind.
BE INSPIRED
get dressed. because you always feel better. and then you are more productive. we want you to build your wardrobe with the right pieces that will live there for a very long time.
vendors invited to be a part of the swing concept, share a similar lens- that there is a non-negotiable ethical piece in manufacturing garments, now more than ever. and since longevity is a requirement of all swing garments...it's a win (when you swing).
BE TOGETHER
far beyond fashion, swing is about supporting local economy and community. swing is committed to encouraging others to appreciate and support ‘main streets' everywhere, and simply enjoy their offerings. shop. engage. have some fun. we are truly doing our best to create a community of mindful, inspired, confident women.
